Colfax Flood Relief
In August 2010, Colfax was hit by floods and dozens of homes were damaged by high water. On October 11 - 15, six volunteers from Linn Grove and Bloomfield Churches went to work repairing a home. The familhy has been out of their home for more than two months. The family lived for the first few weeks in a small camper. They are now living with their neighbors. The home had to be completly gutted. When the team walked in, the interior of the house was simply stud framing. By the end of the week, sheet rock had been put up on all the interior walls. The team worked with Don Baker, United Methodist Committee on Relief volunteer. Richard Pool, Warren Holder, and Beth Wonderlin assisted from Linn Grove. Geraldine Fridlington and Charlotte Sucik volunteered from Bloomfield. Together, the team helped to restore a home for a family. Praise God!
