On December 12th, Bloomfield UMC hosted an Open House for the staff and day care families from Bidwell Riverside .  The church was filled with families with the majority of the children under 5 years of age.   Bloomfield provided sloppy joes, party potatoes, mac and cheese, fruits, and lots and lots of homemade desserts. Each family received a family gift  of books, games, DVDs, popcorn, candy and  blankets.   Each daycare child received a new pair of jammies.   Everything for a warm cozy evening at home. And for good measure, we threw in some tooth brushes, hats and mittens.    The congregation seemed to enjoy the preparation and party as much as the families.  The children enjoyed story telling and crafts.
